Inspired Writing

For a few weeks, we have been doing writing with Mr Scott. So far I enjoyed it and surprisingly my writing turned out good. It was not much of writing it was more of making the sentence more interesting so that we can all understand what the person is trying to say. We did this because the teacher wanted us to improve our sentence more so we can master that. My starting is number 1 and I had to improve and stretch my sentence from there.

Instructions For Writing

Yellow-Add adjectives to the simple sentence, to add more detail.
Blue-Add more language features like similes or metaphors to enhance the sentence.
Purple-Use topic words directly related to the picture.
Red-Use emotive language to create/clarify mood.
Green-Paint a clear picture in the mind of my readers and give the reader detailed and specific information.

They had no hesitation to back up now. The world’s life was in their hands in order to keep Earth in balance, which would you choose…

This Tuesday we went to Orana Park to learn new things about animals and have fun around Orana Park. We saw about 16 animals at Orana Park and we learned so much about them and we got to hold some stuff from the animals. This is my second experience around orana park and on my second experience, I saw a lot more animals than my first experience around orana park. The first thing that bright sunny morning was got ready to go on the bus and seated on the bus and we left. As we left we sang and talked about stuff on the bus, on our trip to orana park we came along some up and down roads and forest filled with campervans and tents, plus some shops.

As soon as we reached orana park the other bus came along behind us, the bus parked and said thank you to the bus driver and lined up on the parking lot because there were no cars, well only the owners and managers cars were there. When the other bus arrived and the other classes got off, they lined up and some zoo rangers/teachers came over to take us on a tour, we were already given badges at school and it says a number on it so we were split into groups at orana park and went to our ranger/teacher.

Elaine was our ranger teacher and she took us on a tour around the zoo, the first thing she did was that she told us the important rules about the animals and keeping things to ourselves. Example: Not feeding the animals our food and not touching or climbing the fences, after that we went in and we first ate some food because it was morning tea time. After having morning tea we left our bags by the toilet and went with Elaine to a special room. When we went inside it was dark but not too dark. It had real animals but a statue of them, she showed us what animals they were and she also showed us the bird of the year which is a kea. We learned other things in that special room then we left, we followed Elaine to a big cage filled with keas and another type of birds.

Kea

Elaine told some things about the keas, they are sneaky, loud and playful and plus they are naughty. I liked the keas because underneath these wings are colourful and that's one thing I like about them. We went on a bridge that was in the cage and we saw rivers and a pond underneath the bridge. We saw lots of keas and one of them flew from behind us and tried to grab something from someone, they are very very sneaky and naughty. We came to the end so we left the cage and went outside to go to our next destination.

Spider Monkeys

We walked on a long path and as we were walking we saw a playground but it wasn’t a playground for us, it was a playground for the spider monkeys. Spider monkeys lived on an island, it lives on an island because it has a barrier around it filled with water because spider monkeys hate water, they do drink water but they do not like to swim. Which also means that the spider monkeys won’t escape from their barrier and wander around the zoo, spider monkeys are cool and funny because they do weird,  funny things with their tails like swinging on a rope with their tails wrapped around it and swing upside down.

Lions

We left the spider monkeys alone and went off to see the lions. The lions were sleeping on the far end and we could not get there because there was a fence and we were not allowed to enter or climb over it. But from the distance, I saw seven lions, some males and some females sleeping together in a group almost in the far back corner of the cage. Like I said some were males the males we saw did not have manes but Elaine said they will be growing soon. I like lions because they sleep hunt and protect together as a group.

Tasmanian devils

We left the lions and moved on to see the Tasmanian devils when I read that name on the board saying, Tasmanian devils, I did not know what it looks like but on the board, it showed a picture of it and it kind of looks like a rat but bigger. We only saw 2 of them, one hiding at the back of the cage and one behind a tree or I guess they were just sleeping. I did not get a good look at them because they were way too far away, but that was okay for me because I did get a close-up picture of them.

Tigers

We started our trail again towards the tigers, we saw one in each cage, they were about three or two cages but I only saw two tigers. One was in one cage and other in the other cage because they may fight or breed because the zoo rangers don’t want to breed more animals but they make some animals breed. The Tigers went towards each other and walked backwards and forwards by the fence like they were communicating or something, my friend caught one tiger well peeing in the corner of the fence on the far side. But Elaine said one thing about tigers peeing around places. Elaine said that they pee in places so that when other tigers come by and smell the other tiger's pee it means it is their territory and they can not take over their place. I found that interesting and I never knew about that. Did you ever know about this?

Zebras

We set off and found three or four zebras at the back of the fence eating grass and hay, Elaine told us a question to answer and it was… Are zebras black and white or white and black, the answer was black and white because the baby zebras are all black and as they grow, the white stripes come along. When they are adults they black and white plus zebras have their own unique patterns around their body of stripes.

Buffalo

Next to the zebras were the buffaloes, Elaine told us that there were only a Dad and his two daughters. They were so cute and new because before we came to Orana Park there were more buffaloes and no babies. I loved them plus those two baby buffaloes were pale yellow by the look of it and the mum or dad was dark brown. The baby buffaloes were super cute when they slept together.

Cheetah

After looking at the buffaloes we walked for about 1 minute down the path and found cages down on the dark shades path on the left, we walked down the dark shaded path and saw a big cat which was the three cheetahs sleeping in their cages. We went close to one but not too close because there was a sign saying that do not get too close or you will get bitten. It’s stripes were so colourful and neat and one looked at us like it’s telling us to go away because we might be disturbing it so we left it alone and carried on.

Gorillas

We took a shortcut to go and see the big great muscle ape which is the big black gorillas. The gorillas were big and there were only three in the cage, one of them was the boss in there and he decides what to do with them or what to order the other gorillas to do, it was scary because the boss gorilla gave us a mean look which was pretty scary and I did not like it one bit so we moved on to see the orange hairy apes.

Orangutans

Next to the gorilla's cage was an orangutans cage and they were only three of them spread around. One was on the top of the playground, forgot to say that the gorillas have a playgroudn and so does the orangutans but in separate places so they did have fun but the gorilla's, not so much. One orangutan came across wearing a sack on his/her head like a hat to protect from themselves. As we were looking at them we saw Emu’s on the other side but we did not go over there because we had not much time. So we moved on to see the Rhinos.

Rhino’s

We passed the giraffes but left our bags by the door where the zoo rangers store food for the giraffes but the giraffes couldn’t reach so it was okay. We started to walk towards the rhinos and saw five or six rhinos and Elaine took out a tooth and a horn from her bag, it was a rhino’s tooth and horns so we each got to hold it and the horn was pretty heavy so we moved on to the giraffes, we only fed them and we finished our journey.

We had so much fun and learned a lot from them so thanks to Elaine the zoo ranger for teaching us and we appreciate it. Hope you liked my journey at Orana Park.

Selfie Cat

One Sunny bright day, I was in my mansion that was on the edge of the hill, by the beach. The sun was shining bright in my sitting room and my couch that I was sitting on, the cat was lazy and sleeping in her bed couch. My name is Rover, I am 16 years old, I was checking the  instacat because to see who is in the first place that has the cutest picture of their cats. Then a note came up, it said that I was in the first place that has the cutest pictures of the cats.

“Woohoo!!!.” I shouted in an excitement, I started commenting to people and their pictures. Then I heard my fat cat yawning, you know why she is fat because everytime when I take picture of her and me I give her treats as much as she wants. But she eats a lot and all the time, then a new notification came up, it said that, “Noooooo, she is in first place.” I shouted in a angry voice.

I was red as a fresh tomato that my head was about to blow up, I quickly found my cat trying to struggle getting into her small toilet. I pulled her out, anyways her name is Alpha. She is a very fat cat that’s why she is struggling to get in, so I pulled her out of there and force her to take a picture with me.

Then she tried to scratch my face but it was too close, next she tried to poke my beautiful brown eye. Next I picked up my tablet and tried to take a photo with my cat, then she tried to kick my face. Then I it took a photo, it was not a very good photo. “Ouchhie.” I said in a horrified voice. My cat pulled me off my couch and I fell on the floor hard, next my cat tried to run but I caught her just in time.

“MEOW.” My cat said in a rage voice. I was in a rage mode too and I went to get my phone, and grabbed my cat. Grabbed my phone and took a photo. Suddenly my cat betrayed me, she bit my hand and it was bleeding very bad. “Ahhhh.” I said in a sorrowful voice. Then she tried to run away from me again, I grabbed her tail and picked my phone up and picked Alpha up.

Next suddenly she grabbed the piano with her razor sharp claws, I pulled her tail very hard like I was a bulldozer. Then I falsely let go of her tail and I sling shot her into the black piano, next I went to get her but she made an angry growl at me, I was so frightened. I slowly went towards the piano, closer and closer and closer and, “MEEEEOOOOWWWW.” as she leapfrogged at me.

My heart was beating faster and faster like a race car going 100 miles per hour, I my cats mouthy was wide open like she was about to chop my hand. When I fell my phone slip from my hand took a photo, next my cat published it by walking over it and went to its toilet to pee. I was so sad, suddenly after that, I was getting lots of likes because people thought that the cat was trying to pounce on me and give me a hug.

I was happy and thanks to my cat he will get lots of treat for that photo….

Maybe that's how she got fat, I fed her too much, hahahahahahahaha.

Pigeon Impossible

One beautiful day, I was walking down the street with my agent suit on so the other agents around the world see each other and let them do their missions. Today I am on a mission to take this suitcase to a safe place.

Any ways, my name is Walter Beckett,                                                                          I am a junior agent, I am still learning how to be a proper agent. When I crossed the road, I saw the proper agent with the suitcase. I went towards him, got the suitcase from him then took it by the bench to open it.

When I opened it the screen turned on and I started working on my work about the rocket launch. when I started working, a pigeon came and stood on the bench, then I gave a piece of Doughnut to the pigeon. The pigeon didn’t went to get it then it flew on me.

I threw the Doughnut🍩  towards the ground and then the pigeon went towards my case and got stuck in it, I was so worried if the pigeon pressed something. When I went closer to the case, the case started moving, the pigeon started screaming then it went silent.

I went closer very slowly like a turtle🐢 or like slowpoke, then the case started moving faster and faster. Until it scared a woman dressed in a pink dress, next it came back then started shooting lasers.

I quickly hid behind the door, I was so scared that my heart started beating faster and faster like a super sports car, nissan gtr going hundred miles per hour. When it stopped shooting, I ran towards it to get it before it takes off. But it was too late to get it, the pigeon started screaming again and started destroying the world.

Well it was only destroying Washington D.C, when it destroyed all the cars and the buildings I started thinking of a solution to get that pigeon off the case. After thinking, I remembered about the doughnut that the greedy pigeon wanted.

So I rushed to the pigeon with my case, I held the doughnut high on my hands then the pigeon pointed the laser gun at me, I was worried if he was gonna shoot me then I saw a burning car. I held the doughnut above the steaming fire that was on the black mustang car, When I held the doughnut above the fire the pigeon came down and opened the case and peeked from the case.

I called the pigeon, after that the pigeon slowly came out of the case to get the doughnut. When the pigeon was out I rushed to get it but it was too late, AGAIN!!!. The pigeon pushed another button that you shoot missiles from, I was scared so I stopped and then held the doughnut in front of me.

Then the pigeon slowly came out again then I threw it in the air, the pigeon looked up in the air then I pushed the pigeon, next I got up and cleaned my suit. Suddenly I heard a noise that was loud and it started hurting my ears. “Oh no, I think I just launched the.” got interrupted by the noise.

It was the rocket I launched but I did not know how it launched. I was scared, I quickly checked on the computer that where the rocket was aiming, then on my screen came up with, MOSCOW RUSSIA!!!. I tried to think of something to do about it, then it launched into the air and off it went to Russia.

I tried thinking then I knew what to do, I pushed the button that was on the corner of my computer. Next the jet rockets appeared from the sides of the computer then I took off into the air. Once I took off I looked down, my heart was about to burst out of my chest, I was so high that I was about to faint.

I looked up at the rocket and pushed the laser gun button, when I was about to fire the same pigeon came and pushed me I shot somewhere else. Then I looked for the pigeon then I saw it on my case, I pushed the rocket button that was in my case.

Then the rocket came out from my case, next I looked at the pigeon fiercely. Next the pigeon got worried then I opened the case, the doughnut flew out from my case and then I pushed the launch button. The rocket went towards the bigger rocket and went closer, closer and closer then, BOOM!!!.

The rocket blew up and then I lowered the power of my case and I slowly went down onto the ground. When I landed safely onto the ground the pigeon was by the bench where me and my enemy pigeon met in the first place, I watched as a part of the rocket falling from the sky towards the pigeon.

My mission was complete and I walked to my secret basement, this was pigeon impossible mission for me but I finished it. I am now a proper agent.

The Catch

One day in a early morning, there was a boy named Parowa he was 11 years old and he was the only child in the village. Everyone in his village wanted him to get a big fish for everyone. But that boy couldn’t, he couldn’t catch one single fish. But his dad told him that if he doesn't, he will be punished.

He picked up his leaf hat, his fishing rod and his basket and went to the lake. Once he reached the lake he was tired, thirsty and hungry, and there was a problem, the lake was drying and the fishes were gone. But not all of them, they were little ones, so he swung my fishing rod and threw the rods string in the lake.

He felt a pull so he pulled as hard as he could and a little fish came out and then landed on the ground. He picked it up and then dropped it in the basket. He was sad so he didn’t mind, he knew that there will be more big fish.

Then suddenly he heard a scream behind the bushes, so he creeped towards the bush and looked behind the bushes. It was a fox stuck by a vine around one of its legs, He picked up his knife and cut the vine in half. The fox turned around and then he pounced at the boy, he fell down and the fox climbed on his chest and made a angry looking face.

Then the fox smelled something, the fox ran to his basket and sat down, The boy was looking at his face and the smiled at him and took the fish from the boys basket. The fox ran and under the thorn bush, the boy tried catching the fox so he went under the thorn bush, once he was on the other side of the thorn bush he saw the fox and tried catching it.

The fox went up the big hill and the boy was scared, so he tried his best and then the fox made it on the top of the hill and ran. The boy climbed until his favourite fell down, he was angry because of that fox so he started climbing faster.

Once he reached the top of the hill he saw fogs and couldn’t see the fox anywhere until the fogs were gone and could see the fox now. He was sitting by a big ocean. The boy was amazed, then the fox threw the fish in the ocean and it swimmed away.

Parowa was happy with the fox now so he started fishing here and then a big fish jumped so he caught it with his big fishing rod and he got a almost little fish and gave it to the fox. Then the boy went home to have fish for dinner. Then the fox started thinking about how kind he was and that wasn’t the fox, it was the god.

The Friendly Parrot

One day in the middle of the night, the sky was dark like a black hole. The thunder roared like a lion, straight rain falls all over town. Everyone was inside their house sitting by the warm red fire that was blazing by the chimney. That day in the scary night, a little child named Serena was sleeping in her bed but she couldn’t sleep at all.

Her legs started shaking, her mouth was shaking too, she hid under her blanket and waited until she sleeps but she couldn’t. She was scared because there was a parrot right next to her, she was scared of Parrots because last time there was a Parrot that came and sat by her and the girl Serena thought it was trying to hurt her, but it wasn’t. Her mum tried to tell her that the Parrot didn’t attacked her, it was trying to be nice.

But Serena didn’t trusted them and kept saying that the Parrot did attack her, so here mum and dad brought her a parrot to prove that parrots don’t attack. Serena was scared like she was about to die, her heart started beating faster like a car going 100 miles per hour. SHe tried to close her eyes and sleep.

Then the parrot that was green and yellow with silver stripes on it’s wings started screaming like a tiger attacked it. Then the Parrot landed on the Serena’s head and then started sleeping on the girl’s head. The girl started crying so loud that her mum and dad came rushing to her room. Serena told them that the Parrot was attacking her, mum and dad was not happy.

Her dad told her that the parrot was just sleeping on her head because the parrots cage was cold, so the girl thought for a minute what happened when she got attacked by the bird. Then she knew that it wasn’t attacking her, it was asking for food. Then she knew that birds don’t attack and she was happy. So she went to her bed and slept in her soft cozy bed and waited for the morning.

Presistent Pigeon

Once upon a time, it was an early morning, the shone shone bright in the sky like gold. There was not a cloud in the sky and the sky colour was fresh blue like a fresh sea or ocean, on the rooftop of the hotel lived three little baby pigeons also known as squab lived in their yellow strawed nest.

The three little pigeons woke up by the bright yellow sun then they stretched their arms wide and then they were hungry so they thinked for a plan and they started screaming loudly, they screamed for hours until it was afternoon. The little pigeons were so hungry that they were about to die, then one pigeon spotted something delicious.

It was a cupcake, so one pigeon went out of its nest and went towards the cupcake, the two pigeons were worried they thought that they will get in trouble by their mum. So the pigeon thought that they should do it fast, so the two pigeons came out of their nest and they went towards the window and they started jumping trying to catch the cupcake.

But they were too small so the youngest pigeon thought for an idea so the the pigeons climbed onto each other's head and then they tried grabbing the cupcake, but then they started to fall, they tried balancing but they fell and one pigeon nearly fell from the roof. Then they said to each other that there is no way to get the cupcake.

Then the pigeons had one more idea left so they used it which was seesaw, so the pigeon got their seesaw and one pigeon went on the other side of the seesaw. The pigeon stood on the edge of it and then the other two pigeons went on the other side and then the one pigeon jumped on the seesaw but the pigeon on the other side didn’t went in the air.

So the last pigeon jumped too and then the pigeon that was on the other side went up, up, up and up in the air but when it came down he forgot to grab the cupcake, the pigeon banged its head on the window and it hurted him. So they all went to their nest and waited for their mum to come home. After two hours their mum came back but she was still flying so she dropped the worm on the nest and went away, the pigeons were sad and waited for mum again to come home.

                                             Orime the Pig

One day in the early morning, the sun shone bright like gold and it sparkled like a diamond in my house. I woke up by my alarm clock, it was 8:00 and I walked down stairs and went to the table to eat breakfast. I walked until I reached to the refrigerator and I smelled something very yummy, something very delicious, it was cookies, my favourite food.

Any ways, my name is Ormie the pig, I am bright pink coloured like a cotton candy, fat like a tractor and some of the pigs call me ugly because they think I am a blobfish. When people call me that I get sad like a snow getting melted and then I get angry like a dragon about to breath fire.  

Any ways, I was really excited and I really wanted to eat cookies for my breakfast, I went towards the fridge and reached for the cookies. I couldn’t reach them so I looked for something that I could use to get the cookies down from the fridge. I found a broom by my sofa so went to get it. Once I got my broom I went towards the fridge and then pointed the broom to the cookie jar and tried pushing it back so it will fall backwards and it failed and then I looked down, my floor was dusty so I sweeped it with my broom.

I got my small brown caramel coloured chair and then went back then ran as fast as I could then I jumped on the chair then I hit the fridge then I climbed onto the fridge and then reached for the cookie jar but suddenly, one of the door on the fridge opened and I was hanging then I let go and I fell on the ground. Then the ice fell on me, it was cold, good thing I had a juice in my pocket and I needed ice just for my fresh drink.

Then I got my brown, green, yellow and pink book and stacked it up, then got a iron board then went to get the bowling ball. Once I got the ball I went towards the fridge, next I sat on the iron board then threw the ball on the other side of the iron board, then it my… well you know what I mean. It hurted so bad that I was going to die and my plan failed.

Then I went to my garage then got six  boxes and then I put my turquoise coloured napkin around my neck then went up and onto the sixth box, i was happy and jumped on the box then my foot got stuck in the box then I slowly moved and reached it but the boxes lid opened and I went down and I was inside the box.

I went and looked under my bed for my new trampoline, once I found my trampoline I opened it up and then went back to the fridge with my trampoline, I dropped it near my fridge and then started bouncing. I bounced the tried to get it but it failed, I tried again and I failed and then I tried again then my trampoline broke into pieces. I was sad and started to cry like a talking snow about to melt to death.

The I went to the bathroom at got 2 plungers and then I went to my room and got two bands, I got one plunger and one band and tied it on my leg and I did the same thing to my other leg. Then I went towards the fridge and climbed the fridge, after that one of my plunger was on the other door and my other plunger was on the other door, the problem was that I couldn’t get my plunger off it and when I try too, the doors open. I tried and tried and tried to get it off the doors. I got angry like a dragon about to breath fire. Then I tried getting both of them off at the same time, then both of the doors opened and I hit the fridge and it hurts. I went to my room but then I realized that I one plunger on my head and one on my tail, I tried getting it off then one moved to my nose and the other one moved to my leg, then I tried again next both of them moved to my ears, then I pulled as hard as I could, then both of them moved to… well I don’t want to talk about it.

Then I went to get my chainsaw and my mask, once I found them I started my chainsaw then went towards the fridge and cutted the floor around it then the fridge and the cookie fell down, I fell down as well too, once I landed softly I turned around and saw that the fridge was not damaged and the fridge up and the cookies were on the fridge just like before. I was tired and thinked for other plans.

Then I got onto the zip liner but I failed and did not get the cookies because I was taking selfies of me and the cookie. I made a ramp and I got my tricycle and went fast as I could but it didn’t work. I tried jumping it, but that didn’t work. Then I went to the circus swings and climbed onto it and then swinged myself to the cookies and that didn’t work either and I had a bad landing.

I tried to get it with the stick and that didn’t work, I got my fishing rod and tried catching the cookie jar but instead I caught a fish, I tried using my rocket but that didn’t work either, I was angry and mad so I went to the airport to get a plane. Once I reached the airport I got into the plane then I opened the door and then jumped, after 3 seconds I took out my umbrella and then used it as a parachute. But the umbrella broke and I fell down and bounced to the fridge and then fell down.

I was so angry that I was going to blow up, I sat by the fridge and then I was crying, then something fell on me, the cookies were falling from the fridge, I got a cookie in my hand then took a bite, before I could the cookie jar fell on my head and it was stuck. It was my worst day ever.

Alma

On a snowy, frosty and cold day, the town was big as an elephant and some building were big as a skyscraper, some were covered in snow, some were covered in umbrella and others were covered in salt to keep the snow away from the shop. Any ways my name is Alma, I am a little girl.

I was wearing a hat, jeans, a jacket, hand  gloves and a long scarf. I walked until I found a board that had names written on them. So I looked for a chalk to write my name. It was hard to find it because the chalk was white and also the snow, it was camouflaged.

Finally I found the chalk so I picked it up and wrote my name, Alma. Once I finished writing my name. I took off the scarf off my mouth, then suddenly I heard a rattle and a squeaking voice. I turned around very slowly then I saw nothing behind me making the noise. So I went towards a shop that looked like a shark mouth.

I looked in the shop and saw a something, I cleaned the window because it had snow on it, once it was clear to see, I saw a doll that looked just like me. I was scared and I did not know where it came from or who made it. I took a deep breath in and I was not scared any more.

Now I wanted that doll that looked like me but as soon as I looked back at the doll, it magically disappeared. I looked for it and and I couldn’t find it. So I went by the door and looked there to find it, when I looked very carefully, then something captured my eye, it was the doll, it was on the piano.

I tried opening the door but it didn’t work, so I tried pulling it harder, but it still didn’t open. I was angry and sad so I picked up some snow in my hand, rolled it and threw it at the door. Suddenly the door magically opened.

I was happy, so I quickly ran at the door and slowly opened the door. Once I entered the shop, I knew it was a doll shop. It was full of colourful dolls and lots of them. I looked down and saw that I was walking on cobblestones, I never seen one like this before.

Any ways I was inside then I walked slowly to the doll that looked just like me then suddenly, I stepped on a toy. It was a boy on a tricycle. I picked it up then put it back up then the tricycle moved and went to the door and then it bang itself on the door and the door closed.

I didn’t care about it, I could still open it from the inside. So I turned around and grabbed the doll, before I could grab it, the doll magically disappeared from the piano. I looked for it under the piano and then, something captured my eye.

It was the doll and it was on the shelf, I did not know how it got there but any ways. I climbed the shelf and reached for the doll, and the boy on the tricycle was still banging the door, once I touched it’s nose I was getting sruncked. I felt weird and the scary part was that I was in the doll, I was scared, all I could do was to move my eyes. Then I saw another doll by the window and I knew that same girl will come.
