Beyond the Lines
Once upon a time, me and my brother were playing hide and seek. I was the oldest in my family, so any ways I hid in the loef and my brother was still counting I was finding a place to hide somewhere in the loef then Is saw a chest that had a key in the key locker. I turned the key around then the chest opened. I looked inside and saw a soldier hat and a letter. I called my brother and my grandad and grandma.
Once everyone came I asked my grandad what was this, he said to me that it was a long story he said to me. He said that he was a soldier and he was fighting the turkish people. Next He started telling us the story and me and my brother thought that we were there. Our grandad said that it took them 2 months to get to gallipoli. It was NZ,UK and Australia going to fight the turkish people, so once he and his soldiers arrived then they opened the boat’s hatch door.
Then his soldiers got out of the boat and he said to us that he was very scared and did not know what to do. So all his grandad did was join the fight with his other soldiers, he saw his soldiers on the ground, dead. We saw it too by imagining. We felt like we were there in real life, we looked for our grandad in the war but we couldn’t find him. We raced out of the boat and searched for him but we couldn’t.
The soldiers were keeping us safe but one by one they got shot by the turkish people that were shooting from the top of the hill. We ran as fast as we could then a bomb landed behind us and we flew in the air then landed safely on the ground. We hid behind a metal shed, we looked for our grandad, after that we saw him hiding behind another metal shed and scared.
We ran as fast as we could to him and once we made it, we smiled at him. Then the turkish people nearly shot us and our grandad. Then our grandad found his friend shot by bullets, he felt sad then his friend died. Then he saw one of his other friend shot in the face, he felt scared and he had only one way, to reach the top of the hill and shoot everyone. Once he was out of his shed the turkish people started shooting him.
We flew in the air then landed in a hole very hard, it hurt us really bad. People were helping us but they kept dying. Me and my brother hugged each other then our grandad came and hugged us. It was a horrible dream we had, we started crying then we stopped. Our grandma came and saw everything. My grandad picked up my little brother and walked out of the loef.
We waited for our grandma, then she picked up the hat the dropped it in the box, then locked it. Our grandad is lucky that he survived in the war. So once our grandma was done she came and closed the door. And that was the end of his story.
THE END
