Hurumanu-Water Cycle

Hi guys, Today for science we have been learning about the water cycle, we had been given paper and a few hexagons shapes in one piece of paper. We had to cut them out and solve the puzzle about climate change and the water cycle. One hexagon said Water Cycle and the other hexagon said Climate change. The rest of the hexagon said things that were related to the other two hexagons.

Here are the words we learnt:

Water Cycle
Climate change
Carbon Dioxide
Transpiration
Evaporation
Acid Rain
Hurricanes
Condensation
Precipitation
Water Vapour

Relative for Water Cycle:
I linked Water vapour, Condensation, Precipitation, Acid Rain, Evaporation & Transpiration.

Relative for Climate Change:
I linked Carbon Dioxide, Hurricanes & Acid Rain.

The Water Cycle
Acid Water Cycle
Does it cycle?
22
Amount of Water
11
Acidity
02

Key: Water and acidity amount: 0 = none
1 = small
2 = large

Maths DLO:Multiply Fractions

Hi guys, Today Me and my two other partners, Richard and Crysler worked together to make a video to show you guys how to solve fractions. But not just adding fractions or subtracting them, it was multiply fractions. I had fun making this video and hopefully, this teaches you how to multiply fractions. Leave a comment on what I can improve, Enjoy and Bye.

Replying to Anton

Hey Anton, I wanna say thanks for the response or message you sent us for our work and we gladly appreciated it. I was pretty much shocked that you sent us a message to our school for our hard work. It made a huge impact in our community because you represent for New Zealand and play for All Blacks, how we made an impact was that we support and encourage you. I know most of the students in our school are also shocked but we all appreciated it about the nice comment you gave us. Once again thanks and hope you are having a great day.

Why laughing is Good...

You may think why laughter is good, laughter shows that you are respecting the person joke and care about it. laughter gives people the courage to do the thing they did to make people happy. Here is a fact, laughter can make you live longer.
This is the funniest meme because it shows at the first that a girl got thrown into a lake because she thinks every single dance is fortnite. So his father threw her into the lake so she could learn to think more and not every single thing is fortnite.

Well-being

Spiritual well-being means the ability to experience and integrate meaning and purpose in life through a person's contentedness with self, others art, music, literature, nature, or a power greater than oneself.

Mental well being: a state of well-being. Mental health is defined as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.

Physical Well-Being. A state of physical well-being is not just the absence of disease. It includes lifestyle behaviour choices to ensure health, avoid preventable diseases and conditions, and to live in a balanced state of body, mind, and spirit.

Health has been set by the World Health Organisation, mental and social well-being and not only the need of disease or illness. People who are less well off or who belong to socially excluded groups tend to be worse off in relation to these social determinants.

What we did:
  • For the Beats & Beyond Hurumanu, we have been learning about new instruments that Mr Mitchell brings.
  • After that we met a singer named Ryan Neville, we came to our school and only the hurumanu people went to see him at the auditorium. He taught us some parts of the instruments and also talked a little about himself.
  • After we made our own song lyrics and then made our own music using Garageband. After we were put in little groups to perform a song with the team in front of the hurumanu class.
What I learned:
  • I learned different instruments, I also learned new different parts of the instruments. One type of instrument is woodwind, the clarinet is a woodwind which you have to blow into. That is something new I learnt in the hurumanu. But I also learned more than that.
What I enjoyed:
  • I enjoyed learning about new instruments and also learning about famous people, we had to write a biography about the famous people and I enjoyed that a little but not too much because it was a tricky task. I enjoyed writing song lyrics and making music for it too. It was also a difficult task because it had to be something I'm inspired about. I didn’t know anything that inspired me so I wrote a song about a game to make it easier for me.
What I found difficult:
  • What I found difficult was that some people were distracting us and we couldn’t focus that much we managed to get our work finished. The other thing I found difficult is writing the song lyrics and working with others because they waste most of the time and don’t get the work done.

KidsCan Charity

Video about what KidsCan Charity Do:

KidsCan Charity on Biteable.

It's Cool To Be Kind-Reflection

Last week, we have been making posters to help the Kids Can Charity raise money for children and other people with no food, shoes, money, home and etc. Kids Can help the kids and provide the children food, clothing and healthcare in school so those children can get an education and reach their full future, it took us a while to plan the day but we managed to solve it. The first thing we had to do was to think of a theme we can do so we split into small groups and shared our ideas at the end.

We shared each other's ideas and discussed about the theme. Once everyone decided a theme to do that everyone would like was: Radical Rainbow, so we all agreed to this theme and everyone was happy with it. So the Mufti day we planned will be a successful mufti day because we made sure everyone knew about this ad that they will want to help us fundraise too.

The job I was given was to make a poster to advertise for the mufti day so that everyone will know about it.

This is spreading kindness by helping kids in need and that could really help them.

Here is my poster:

Hurumanu-P.E

This week on Tuesday in our P.E Hurumanu we have been playing more sports for our hurumanu, we did warmups and two-sport games. This hurumanu was held in the old gym and Mt was with us because we do our Hurumanu with them. We play sports to get us fit and also get us to play together as a team.

Our first activity was a warmup, we first did a team game called 100 Run-ups/100 pts game. What we had to do was to get in a team and run back and forth to earn points, every time when we reach the end and run back is 2 pts. We had to get 100 pts to win and we came second because we worked as a team and let others have a turn. For this activity I rated my self as a 4 because I contributed to the team and I made sure I included everyone to have a turn, I always encouraged them and I use my positive words to cheer them up.
I have to show that we can consistently show these values and never argue or say bad things to other people.

Next week I am aiming to stay at the same level and to make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on doing the same thing and keeping my values up.

Our second activity was hockey. For this activity, I rated my self as a 3.
To achieve level 4 we have to show that we can consistently talk
what is happening to our surroundings than doing it our own way.
During the first game of hockey, I showed that I am working at level 3
by not using more than my own strength and I barely even talked to anyone. These examples show that I have met the standard for level 3.

Our third activity was football. For this activity, I rated my self as a 3.
To achieve level 4 we have to show that we can consistently be
better than we are now.
During the first game of football, I showed that I am working at 3
by playing fairly and not arguing to
the one that kicks the ball at any part of my body. These examples
show that I have met the standard for
level 4.

Next week I am aiming to work at 4 To make sure that I am working
that level I am going to work on talking to people by encouraging them more.
